Station Renovations and Site Upgrades

  • $9.38 million project funded by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
  • Long-vacant 1915 station completely renovated to meet passenger needs and preserve this local historic landmark.
  • Pleasant indoor waiting area, updated restrooms, modern ticket machines.
  • ADA-accessible with elevators and high-level boarding platforms with canopies.
  • Restoration: lead paint removal, new slate roof consistent with 1915 design, exterior stone work cleaned and repointed (mortar joints repaired), damaged floor tiles replaced, historic windows repaired, plaster patched, original woodwork refinished.
  • New utilities: sewer, water, electric, HVAC.
  • Parking lot improvements: grading, stormwater facilities, paving, curbing, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping.
  • Bus shelter refurbished and new bus loop designated.
  • Bike racks.
